Also have to give a shoutout to Refactoring UI. As a frontend developer, this book completely changed how I think about design. It's not about becoming a designer, it's about understanding the language designers speak, so you can actually contribute meaningfully, catch things they might miss, or even hold your own on your own side projects when there's no designer around. It filled in so many gaps I didn't even realize I had. If you build UI for a living and design still feels like a black box, this one's a must.
